Vision Statement

Special Love, Inc. is the premier source of hope, comfort, and compassion to children with cancer and their families in Virginia, Maryland, and the Greater Washington area.

Mission Statement

Special Love provides quality programs and a network of support to children with cancer and their families.

Program Development Goals

Develop and deliver programs that meet the identified needs of our children and their families and that contribute to their physical and mental well-being.

Expand program outreach

Establish a regionally recognized program on survivorship and late effects.

Expand outreach to other oncology camp providers, including local efforts and national ones like Hole in the Wall Gang Camps, for collaborative opportunities.

Continue facilitating volunteer development in the context of our ongoing programs and events.

Visibility & Marketing Goal:

Facilitate corporate and private acceptance of Special Love as the recognized regional community of support for children with cancer, their siblings and parents.

Resource Development Goal:

Secure the resources from both the public and private sectors that will support Special Love’s programs, enabling them to serve the needs of our constituency.
