The Mark Moseley Celebrity Golf Tournament (Monday, June 3rd at Raspberry Falls Golf Club in Leesburg, VA) - A frill-filled day with Redskins great Mark Moseley, the only kicker voted NFL MVP (1982) and other sports and media celebrities. Enjoy premier gifts, food, and auction items as we raise nearly $100,000 for Special Love and the Friends of the Clinical Center at NIH.
The John Mansini, Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament (Monday, June 3rd at Stonehenge Country Club in Richmond, VA) - hosted by long-time camp supporters The Richmond Shag Club, this is a laid-back day with plenty of drinks, prizes, and dinner hosted by Outback Steakhouse!
The Camp Fantastic Golf Tournament (Friday, June 7th at Rock Harbor Golf Club in Winchester, VA) - The tournament that started them all, this event features two flights (8 am and 1:30 pm) with food, prizes, and special guests for each. Play one of the most scenic and challenging courses in the Shenandoah Valley.

An Evening of Special Love

Thanks to everyone (over 200 of you) who joined us as we celebrated the completion of three decades of "fantastic" service. We had heroes (including those pictured at right, awesome music by DC Synergy, and great food, and we grossed over $100,000! We also premiered our brand-new promo video, which was filmed at BRASS Camp and Camp Fantastic 2012 and includes interviews with our campers and parents. Watch our Facebook page for photos!

Thanks to everyone who joined us on Monday, October 15th, as we hit the links in memory our good friend Jake Jacoby (lost in the plane that hit the Pentagon on Sept. 11th) atThe Camp Fantastic Open at The Piedmont Club in Haymarket, VA. We had a relaxing day of golf, first-class food and drinks, and a live auction filled with unique trips and items. Visit their Facebook page for all the details.

Millbrook Volleyball for Special Love

Thanks to everyone who joined the Pioneers women's volleyball team at Millbrook High School. Even though they didn't win their match vs. Handley High School, they did raise over $1500 for Special Love! There was a bake sale, raffle drawing, contests, and silent auction. Click here for the flyer.

Fall Happy Hour at Black Finn in Bethesda

Thanks to everyone who joined us on Thursday, September 20th at BlackFinn in Bethesda to support two of the NIH Charities: Special Love and the Friends of the Clinical Center. We enjoyed live music and a raffle with great prizes. Watch for our Spring Happy Hour, coming in April!

Thanks to our "June Madness" Golfers! 
Thanks to the nearly 500 golfers who joined us for one (or more) of our "three tournaments in four days" weekend in June:
The 28th annual Camp Fantastic Golf Tournament on Friday, June 1st at Rock Harbor Golf Club in Winchester, hosted 200 golfers during one of TWO flights (8 am and 1:30 pm). We also introduced a new "civic club challenge" in the morning and managed to dodge the worst weather forecast in tournament history. Net proceeds were close to $30,000.
The Mark Moseley Celebrity Golf Tournament on Monday, the 4th, in Raspberry Falls in Leesburg had a sellout crowd of 32 teams - and a record number of sports and media celebrities who joined them for a day full of sunshine and special extras.
The John Mansini Memorial Camp Fantastic Tournament, hosted by our good friends at the Richmond Shag Club on Monday, June 4th, at Stonehenge Country Club in Richmond, treated 100 golfers to not only dinner by Outback Steakhouse, but also lunch by Applebee's.
Stay tuned for another triple-header of fun the first weekend of June 2013!

Catch the Buzz!
Buzzing for Change is on April 20th at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Join nearly 100 shavees as they "take it off for kids with cancer." At left is Fantastic camper Ale with Dave Smith) also entertained the crowd with his rendition of "I'm a Survivor." Click the photo at left for more great Facebook photos and plan to join us in 2013!
Thanks also everyone who helped with our Evening at BlackFinn, where we raised a glass to spring and Special Love - and even stuck around to watch the Washington Capitals rack up a hockey win! Stay tuned for our fall Happy Hour in Bethesda.
